Power Systems Engineer

📋 Description

• Perform and lead power system studies, including protective device coordination, short circuit, arc
• Design electrical collection systems, including cable routing and cable sizing.
• Develop equipment specifications and apply knowledge of renewable energy technologies, including
• Prepare technical reports and presentations explaining completed studies, recommended solutions
• Ensure engineering work complies with applicable company, industry, trade, jurisdictional, safety
• Lead multiple projects with varying levels of complexity while managing scope, schedules

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in power systems analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of power systems analysis software such as ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP, PSS/E, PSLF, or
• Strong knowledge of power distribution and transmission systems.
• Experience with solar PV systems and/or battery energy storage systems is desirable.
• EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is desirable.
