Power Systems Engineer – EMT Studies (APAC)

📋 Description

• EMT modelling and simulation of HVDC, solar, wind, and BESS systems using PSCAD
• Develop, validate and troubleshoot EMT models (converters, plant controllers, protection)
• Assess converter performance under weak-grid/fault/disturbance conditions
• Validate models against documentation and test data; resolve convergence and control issues
• Integrate manufacturer EMT models with study objectives and network representation
• Deliver EMT studies and coordinate inputs with internal teams and client discussions

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in electrical engineering (Power Systems or related)
• Typically 3–8 years experience in power system studies
• Practical EMT studies experience with PSCAD
• Strong PSCAD skills and understanding of power electronic converters
• English communication skills; ability to work in international teams
• Hands-on experience with PSCAD libraries and automation (Python/MATLAB) is a plus
