Power Systems Engineer III

📋 Description

• Conduct power system impact studies, including steady-state, load flow, short-circuit, and dynamic
• Perform technical analyses to support compliance with North American Electric Reliability
• Carry out generator interconnection studies, including Sub-Synchronous Resonance (SSR) analyses
• Assess whether renewable energy and energy storage projects connecting to the transmission system
• Participate in Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) working group meetings and support
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports documenting study methods, results, and recommendations.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required, preferably with a focus on power systems.
• At least 2–4 years of experience as a power systems engineer.
• Practical experience conducting power system impact studies, including dynamic stability, load
• Experience with power system modeling and analysis software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA.
• Programming or automation experience using Python.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
