Powertrain Responsible Engineer

📋 Description

• Own mechanical components and assemblies that generate and transmit power in all forms
• Includes gear boxes, generators, motors, and turbomachinery
• Interdisciplinary role requires principles in mechanics, fluid dynamics, thermal analysis
• Communicate requirements clearly in a rapidly changing environment
• Drive development of cutting-edge hardware for hypersonic travel

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, physics, materials, etc.)
• Experience using CAD to design parts and assemblies
• 3+ years of engineering/competition team/research experience related to fluid or engine systems
• Passion for hardware design and development
• Willingness to travel to support hardware and flight tests
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed
