Principal Accountant

📋 Description

• Reference point for general ledger activities: entries, accruals, reconciliations.
• Coordinate month-, quarter-, year-end closing for accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare, review, and analyse statutory and internal reporting with data coherence.
• Design, document, and improve accounting processes; perform high-level data validation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and standards; support payroll and audits.
• Project accounting: cost tracking, margins, POC, revenue recognition.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field.
• 10+ years in general accounting, audit, or similar roles; international/project context.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting; explain data.
• Trusted accounting reference point; contributes to process structuring and data quality.
• Payroll and tax knowledge; interaction with external providers.
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience (SAGE, SAP, Oracle or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving; attention to detail and big picture.
• Fluent English (min B2); German is a plus.
