Principal Consultant - Data

📋 Description

• End-to-end delivery of CDE metadata and data-quality docs; Power BI dashboards.
• Line-manage a core stream team (5+ direct reports) and set objectives.
• Engage with CDOs and senior stakeholders; run workshops and steering forums.
• Govern ingestion/validation/sign-off of metadata; ensure traceability and artefacts.
• Establish governance forums, RAID, QA and remediation; escalate with mitigations.
• Lead change and adoption: training and communications to embed standised practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years delivering large-scale change in banking/financial services; data programmes or regulatory remediation (BCBS239 strongly preferred).
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams (8+ direct reports) and external vendors.
• Intermediate Power BI: data modelling, DAX, ETL validation, automation; audit-grade dashboards.
• Practical knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data-quality frameworks, data lineage and CDEs.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation and negotiation skills; experience running workshops and influencing C-suite/data-lead stakeholders.
• Strong programme management (Confluence/ADO/Jira, RAID, milestone/SLA management).
• Background in Digital Transformation, Data Strategy/Management/Analytics, and IT Transformation.
• Consulting background in other industries welcome.
