Principal Data Engineer

📋 Description

• Design end-to-end data architectures and pipelines for ingestion, processing, analytics.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows and data models for BI.
• Develop cloud-native data solutions with Python, SQL, dbt, AWS, Snowflake.
• Establish data quality, governance, lineage, security, privacy, and reliability.
• Create monitoring, observability, and SLOs for critical data systems.
• Lead architectural decisions and mentor data engineers.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, Data Science, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years in software and data engineering, focused on distributed data.
• 5+ years building reporting/analytics with Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Strong Python/SQL, data modeling, governance, lineage, and security.
• Deep cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Proven leader of large-scale data initiatives and architecture decisions.
• Remote-friendly candidate comfortable working across US ET/CT time zones.
