Principal Electrical Engineer (Design Lead)

📋 Description

• Lead electrical architecture of the scanner and board-level design.
• Own end-to-end board design: architecture, schematic, layout.
• Write firmware for embedded targets: drivers, RT control.
• Audit and update HDL (FPGA) for high-throughput data.
• Define interfaces with software, ML, and mechanical teams.
• Establish electrical engineering rigor: design reviews, DHF, traceability.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep experience designing complex boards: high-speed digital & mixed-signal.
• Schematic/layout skills with signal integrity and EMI.
• Firmware in C/C++ (and Python for tooling): peripherals, DMA, RT.
• HDL experience (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog) for data acquisition.
• Proven bring-up and debugging on real hardware (scopes, logic analyzers).
• Technical leadership and clear documentation for a lean team.
