Principal Engineer

📋 Description

• Shape Masabi’s platform architecture, blueprint, standards and best practices
• Design and deliver scalable, robust, cost-efficient services aligned with the blueprint
• Stay hands-on in code and technical delivery, including reviews and contributions
• Identify complex platform challenges in scalability, performance, resilience and cost
• Advise across engineering teams, guiding decisions and standards
• Shape technical roadmap planning and prioritisation of platform improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience designing and evolving distributed systems and microservices
• Principal or Staff level shaping technical direction across multiple teams
• Comfortable staying hands-on in code, design and delivery when needed
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Proven experience in data architecture (data platforms, pipelines, warehousing)
• Turn loosely defined problems into clear, actionable technical approaches
