Principal Engineer - Catalog

📋 Description

• Define and own the catalog platform architecture: service design, data modeling, APIs.
• Lead the catalog modernization effort, coordinating with the Catalog EM and partners.
• Hands-on contributor: write production code and validate architecture.
• Set and enforce technical standards; drive code and architecture reviews.
• Identify and resolve cross-cutting dependencies with peer teams.
• Contribute patterns into iHerb's AI-driven SDLC golden path.

🎯 Requirements

• AI-driven SDLC: uses Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor to ship production systems.
• Architecture at scale: large-scale distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines.
• Cross-org technical leadership: standards, roadmaps, platform initiatives across teams.
• Engineering quality mindset: code quality, observability, CI/CD, test automation.
• Backend languages and data models: C#/.NET, Go, Java, or Python; data models and APIs for high-volume catalogs.
• Full-stack capability: React frontend and backend-to-UI architectural decisions.
