• Define and own DigitalOcean's reference data center architectures.
• Lead MEP systems for leased colocation and build-to-suit DCs.
• Guide site selection processes with leadership.
• Architect cooling designs for CPU/GPU and emerging hardware.
• Design power topologies from 415VAC to 800VDC.
• Lead PoC initiatives and scale pilots to standards.
• Mentor engineers and represent DO at conferences.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in data center architecture or related field.
• Deep MEP expertise for leased colocation and build-to-suit DCs.
• Cooling tech: air cooling to direct liquid cooling in high-density DCs.
• Knowledge of AI/ML hardware roadmaps and trends.
• Behind-the-meter (BTM) power and modular data centers.
• Proven PoC leadership and scale pilots to deployment.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and mentoring.
