Principal EO/IR Systems Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead design of EO/IR system architectures and their hardware/software integration, testing, and
• Derive, allocate, document, and trace requirements from system to components.
• Perform architecture trade studies, tech readiness assessments, and evaluate supplier technologies.
• Apply MBSE to capture requirements, interfaces, and parametric relationships.
• Develop supplier docs, statements of work, and evaluation materials.
• Provide technical management of strategic suppliers during acquisition and testing.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years experience or Master’s with 3+ years or PhD with 1+ year.
• Knowledge of EO/IR phenomenology and electro-optical/infrared systems.
• Experience decomposing and tracing requirements across system levels.
• Strong communication with technical, programmatic, customer, and supplier stakeholders.
• Experience with MBSE, SysML tools (e.g., Cameo); collaboration tools like Jira/Confluence.
• Willingness to work on-site in Melbourne, Florida with ~10% travel.
