Principal Forward Deployed Engineer

📋 Description

• Architect reference architectures and build complex data pipelines and models across cloud
• Guide customers to production and drive account expansion through advisory leadership.
• Write production-grade code alongside customer engineers and partner with exec leadership on
• Set engineering, architecture, and quality standards for the Forward Deployed Engineering practice.
• Deliver MVP-focused solutions by scoping effectively and preventing systemic failure modes.
• Train internal champions and provide documentation to enable customer self-sufficiency.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of production-grade software engineering experience in OO languages (preferably Java).
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
• Strong background in cloud data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery.
• Proven ability to define reference architectures, engineering standards, and lead large-scale
• Experience with AI tools, production LLMs, RAG, and AI agents is valued.
• Executive presence with VP/CTO stakeholders and strong cross-functional collaboration.
