Principal Java Engineer - Backend Platform

📋 Description

• Design and build backend services and APIs for data ingestion and delivery.
• Own data storage and pipeline architecture, including streaming integration.
• Implement authentication and authorization per cloud IAM approach.
• Own end-to-end technical delivery across the stack, with backend/data focus.
• Collaborate with computer vision/data science engineers to define data contracts.
• Participate in technical decisions for scale, latency, and maintainability.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong backend engineering background with production Java experience.
• Experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• Working knowledge of React/TypeScript to review frontend work.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and event-driven architectures (Kafka or equivalent).
• Experience designing API contracts (OpenAPI or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud IAM approaches (AWS Cognito or equivalent) is a plus.
