Principal Java Engineer - Backend Platform

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and data pipelines using Java
• Implement event-driven architectures for high-volume real-time data streams
• Deploy and operate cloud-native services on AWS for production reliability
• Define and maintain API schemas with frontend engineers for clean contracts
• Build observability into services with metrics, logs, and tracing
• Drive CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code to enable continuous delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Strong Java experience - Java 11+ preferred, with clean, performant code
• Hands-on AWS production experience - S3, Lambda, SQS
• Experience building and operating microservices and distributed systems at scale
• Solid data pipeline design, including transformation, normalization, and storage
• Familiarity with observability tooling - Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry
• Experience designing or consuming REST APIs with schema management and versioning
