Principal Java Engineer - Backend Platform

📋 Description

• Design and build backend services and APIs with latency/throughput focus.
• Own data storage and pipeline architecture, including streaming integration.
• Implement authentication and authorization per cloud IAM approach.
• Provide technical direction for frontend (React/TypeScript) and align data contracts.
• Collaborate with computer vision/data science to define data contracts.
• Participate in architectural decisions and lead the wider engineering team.

🎯 Requirements

• Java backend with production experience.
• Low-latency, high-throughput systems experience.
• Frontend knowledge: React/TypeScript to review/direct frontend work.
• Cloud infrastructure and event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar).
• API contracts design (OpenAPI or similar) in fast-moving environment.
• IAm familiarity (e.g. AWS Cognito) is a plus.
