Principal Product Manager (Dataplane)

📋 Description

• Set the dataplane vision and roadmap (WireGuard, DERP, subnet routers)
• Define performance and reliability as customer-facing requirements
• Own connectivity strategy: regional expansion, capacity, relay health observability
• Drive roadmap for operational primitives: subnet routers, exit nodes, Peer Relays
• Own app-layer connectivity surface: App Connectors, DNS, network segmentation
• Own operator surface: admin console and CLI for network engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years product management in networking/edge/infrastructure
• Deep networking fluency across the stack: routing, NAT traversal, MTU/MSS, latency
• Proven ability to define performance commitments and customer-facing SLOs
• Familiarity with VPN/tunneling protocols (WireGuard, IPsec, OpenVPN)
• Experience operating globally distributed infrastructure, relays, and edge nodes
• Public technical writing or open-source networking contributions
