Principal Product Manager (Dataplane)

📋 Description

• Set the dataplane vision and roadmap (WireGuard, DERP, subnet routers, exit nodes)
• Define performance and reliability requirements per customer
• Own connectivity strategy: regional expansion, capacity, relay health
• Drive topology, HA modes, and production tooling UX
• Represent dataplane externally to customers and partners

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in product mgmt owning networking or infrastructure
• Deep networking fluency: NAT traversal, routing, MTU, latency
• Define performance commitments and customer-facing SLOs
• Experience with VPN/tunneling protocols (WireGuard, IPsec, OpenVPN)
• Experience with globally distributed infrastructure and capacity planning
• Public technical writing or open-source networking contributions
