• Lead the AI safety research agenda for large language models and critical systems.
• Mentor and manage a small, high-agency research team.

• Shape opportunities at the intersection of safety and real-world deployment.
• Collaborate on evaluations and red-teaming in high-risk domains like CBRN and cybersecurity.
• Position Faculty as a thought leader through research and stakeholder engagement.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record of high-impact AI research with publications or equivalent experience.
• Deep domain knowledge in language models and AI safety.
• Strong research judgment and experience generating novel research directions.
• Ability to conduct and oversee complex technical research projects with Python and data science
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Understanding AI safety landscape and ability to secure resources for impactful work.
