Principal Software Engineer (Athena)

📋 Description

• Set technical direction for the Athena data validation and entitlement systems.
• Build a production-grade stack with observability and incident handling.
• Partner with staff engineers to establish domain ownership and standards.
• Design systems processing unstructured vulnerability reports and dedupe signals.
• Identify and retire technical debt from fast prototyping.
• Advise on build-vs-buy, capacity planning, and long-term bets.

🎯 Requirements

• Track record setting direction for complex distributed systems.
• Deep Go fluency; experience with GCP and Terraform.
• Work with unstructured data: validate, deduplicate, extract signals.
• Transition prototypes to maintainable, monitored systems with SLOs.
• Build systems handling multiple entitlements and access patterns.
• Security-adjacent domain experience is a plus.
