Principal Software Engineer (Athena)

📋 Description

• Set technical direction for Athena's data validation pipelines and related systems.
• Transition prototypes to a production-grade stack with observability and reliability.
• Collaborate with staff engineers to establish domain ownership and standards.
• Design systems to process unstructured vulnerability reports and deduplicate signals.
• Identify and retire technical debt from rapid prototyping.
• Advise on build-vs-buy decisions, capacity planning, and long-term architecture.

🎯 Requirements

• Track record setting technical direction for complex, production-grade distributed systems.
• Fluency in Go; experience with GCP and Terraform; polyglot developers welcome.
• Work with unstructured data: validate, deduplicate, extract signals.
• Experience moving prototypes to maintainable systems with monitoring and SLOs.
• Built systems for multiple customer types with varied entitlements and access controls.
• Comfort with full backend stack: workflows, data pipelines, APIs.
