Principal Software Engineer - Control Plane / Data Plane

📋 Description

• Lead development of a dataplane module for SonicWall NGFW.
• Build high-performance packet paths with DPDK/ODP/OFP.
• Diagnose and fix dataplane performance and latency issues.
• Collaborate with platform, networking, security, and QA teams.
• Prototype new dataplane tech for next-gen NGFW.
• Influence architecture and scalability for dataplane components.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in C/C++ systems-level networking or embedded dev.
• Hands-on with DPDK/ODP/OFP or similar high-perf frameworks.
• Knowledge of L3/L4 networking: IPv4/IPv6, routing, NAT, VPN/IPsec.
• Build multi-threaded, low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• OS internals, memory/concurrency, and network stack behavior.
• Debugging, performance tuning, and system analysis skills.
