Principal Software Engineer, Crash Reporting

📋 Description

• Innovate on the core diagnostic and reliability frameworks for Roblox's engine.
• Design and build systems to monitor, analyze, and optimize the Roblox experience at scale.
• Navigate platform constraints across vendors to extract details on hangs, crashes, and session health.
• Own end-to-end observability and instrumentation for proactive disruption response.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Leadership to prioritize the roadmap.
• Execute high-performance, systems-level code across mobile, desktop, and major consoles.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional industry experience with a proven track record of technical leadership.
• Exceptional proficiency in C++ and systems-level programming for large-scale environments.
• Extensive experience with at least one non-desktop platform (mobile or console).
• Experience managing systems where a 0.1% regression is a significant and actionable event.
• Specialized experience in observability tools, such as crash reporting or APM.
• Adaptive, cross-functional collaborator with strong interpersonal skills.
