Principal Software Engineer - Distributed

📋 Description

• Build and test distributed DB solutions that scale.
• Ensure high performance and reliability across on-prem and cloud.
• Implement replication, sharding, and consistency models (Raft, MVCC, ACID).
• Profile, debug, and optimize with perf, htop, iostat, and custom tools.
• Shape infrastructure with CMake or Bazel.
• Configure and monitor with YAML/JSONnet, Prometheus, and Grafana.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in C++ (Python/Bash scripting a plus).
• Working knowledge of SQL (MariaDB/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with distributed systems concepts (concurrency, multithreading, ACID).
• Comfort with Linux/Unix (systemd, cgroups, logging, debugging tools).
• Understanding of performance profiling approaches.
• Bonus: Raft/MVCC, OSS contributions, Prometheus/Grafana.
