📋 Description

• Lead the ground-up redesign of core Metadata systems.
• Influence transaction frameworks powering query, DML, and AI-driven data interactions.
• Drive Apache Iceberg innovation for Analytics, Data Engineering, and AI workloads.
• Build foundational metadata capabilities for AI workloads and global replication (Snowgrid).
• Address fault-tolerance, scalability, and high availability for a global ecosystem.
• Own end-to-end architecture and influence product roadmap.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years designing and supporting large-scale distributed services.
• Deep database internals: metadata management, query optimization, catalogs, data management.
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals, multi-threading, memory management, storage performance.
• Cloud-scale track record delivering 0→1 solutions at massive scale.
• BS in Computer Science; advanced degree preferred.
