Principal Software Engineer, Networking (Seattle or SF Bay Area)

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and operate core networking services for Docker Sandboxes
• Build scalable networking infra for microVM orchestration and scheduling
• Develop high-performance data- and control-plane components for multi-tenant workloads
• Ensure network reliability, observability, and performance across Sandbox infra
• Collaborate with product, platform, and security teams on customer features
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and design docs

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years leading large-scale cloud/distributed systems with networking focus
• Experience with microservices, container networking, service mesh, and orchestration
• Experience with kernel and user-space networking: Linux, OVS/OVN, DPDK, and eBPF
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and IaC tooling
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging in distributed environments
