Principal Software Engineer, Onboard Field Response

📋 Description

• Lead engineering analysis and response to novel, rare, or unexpected events in the fleet in the
• Spearhead timely investigations and resolutions to improve robustness of the Onboard Software
• Hybrid role blending software engineering leadership with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)-like
• Collaborate across Onboard organization to adopt best practices and improve large-scale software
• Contribute to Onboard software architecture for robustness and debuggability.

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years leading large-scale production software systems, especially ML-based
• 5+ years as an organizational leader managing teams
• Experience organizing and running oncall rotations
• Excellent influence without authority and strong cross-team collaboration
• Strong communication with focus on delivering value to company and team
