📋 Description

• Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to deliver industry-leading search with speed and relevance.
• Build new search features and fix bugs; design/implement algorithms; optimize for OS/hardware.
• Work with a globally distributed team focused on vector search capabilities.
• Be an expert on Elasticsearch search relevance; identify and drive improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with search and vector databases; used HNSW/IVF at scale.
• Strong Java skills: core language, concurrency, lambdas.
• Experience with data stores like Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra.
• Proven track record using AI to accelerate development and optimize code.
• Able to work autonomously; design APIs; drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience collaborating across distributed teams, with async feedback.
