📋 Description

• Own core security initiatives from architecture to production.
• Lead design and implementation of security features in Elasticsearch core (auth, authz, tenant isolation).
• Develop foundational security models for complex features.
• Optimize security performance in distributed systems.
• Apply cryptographic solutions for customer use cases.
• Mentor engineers and promote security-first development.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep knowledge of Java internals, JVM memory management, concurrency models, high-performance code.
• Designing scalable RBAC/ABAC models and token validation pipelines.
• Distributed systems security: node-to-node trust, zero-trust transport, partition tolerance, cluster state propagation.
• Edge identity protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML).
• Proven track record using AI to accelerate development, debugging, and optimization while owning outcomes.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and lead distributed teams with asynchronous, direct, transparent communication.
