Principal Software Engineer, Trading Systems

📋 Description

• Design and optimize Scala-based trading services for high-volume, low-latency systems
• Lead architectural strategy for future-state scalability and performance
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices
• Collaborate across product, engineering, ops, and security to translate requirements
• Optimize system performance with JVM tuning for Scala/Akka systems
• Enhance monitoring and observability for real-time trade execution

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent)
• Extensive experience with high-performance, high-concurrency trading systems
• Proven expertise in JVM and performance tuning for high-performance environments
• Experience supporting 24/7 production systems, ideally in trading
• Deep knowledge of networking and protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, TCP/IP)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills under real-time conditions
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to stakeholders
