Principal Software Quality Engineer

📋 Description

• Own quality strategy for a distributed database platform, including test architecture, coverage
• Design testing strategies for replication, rebalancing, partitioning, sharding, consistency models
• Validate cluster correctness under failures, network partitions, clock skew, disk-full, slow disks
• Design and execute fault-injection scenarios using process crashes, GDB, packet drops, latency
• Investigate complex system defects, reproduce at source-code level, identify suspect functions, and
• Build and maintain scalable test frameworks using Python, pytest, custom harnesses, API testing

🎯 Requirements

• 10–18 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, SDET, or Systems Engineering with
• Hands-on experience testing distributed databases or storage systems, preferably NoSQL (Cassandra
• Strong experience testing replication, partitioning, sharding, consistency, transactions, secondary
• Solid understanding of distributed-systems fundamentals: replication protocols, consensus, quorum
• Ability to read and debug server-side code in C, C++, Go, Rust, or Java.
• Understanding of protocol/serialization edge cases (wire formats, MessagePack, Protocol Buffers
