Privacy & AI Counsel

📋 Description

• Partner across teams to support privacy and AI compliance in Axon’s products, global operations
• Advise on ethical and legal considerations of obtaining and using AI training data and outputs.
• Drive privacy principles across products and internal operations (impact assessments, DSARs, DPAs
• Collaborate with existing privacy counsel to build and implement privacy and AI processes.
• Provide guidance during incident response and remediation.
• Navigate complex privacy and AI challenges in highly regulated global markets.

🎯 Requirements

• JD, admission to and in good standing with at least one US state bar.
• Minimum 3 years of experience practicing privacy or data protection law, ideally with
• Experience advising on global privacy regulations (GDPR, US state privacy laws, PIPEDA, LGPD).
• Experience with cross-border transfer mechanisms and DPAs; strong DPA drafting/review skills.
• Ability to distill complexity, collaborate across teams, and apply AI tools to operations.
• Privacy certifications (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT) a plus; EU healthcare experience a plus.
