Privacy & AI Counsel

📋 Description

• Partner with product, AI, and employment teams to embed privacy and ethical AI into Axon’s products
• Advise on privacy and AI compliance for body-worn cameras, SaaS platforms, ML models, and global
• Provide scalable guidance and hands-on execution across global regulatory environments.
• Support incident response and remediation with stakeholders as needed.
• Navigate complex privacy challenges in highly regulated markets worldwide.

🎯 Requirements

• US bar admission in good standing (JD required).
• Minimum 3 years practicing privacy or data protection law, preferably with tech, SaaS, or AI
• Experience advising on GDPR, US state privacy laws, PIPEDA, LGPD (global privacy regulations).
• Expertise in enterprise privacy via cross-border transfers, intra-group data transfers, DPAs, DSARs.
• Ability to distill ambiguity, collaborate across teams, and apply AI tools to improve workflows.
• Privacy or AI certifications (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT) are a plus; regional EU healthcare
