Process Chemist

📋 Description

• Identify, design, and execute lab experiments with rigor for scale-up.
• Develop and optimize core synthesis and downstream processing; justify decisions with data.
• Become the team's subject-matter expert on selected reaction steps and unit operations.
• Understand our manufacturing process and assist in pilot and demonstration plant design.
• Maintain a rigorous process-safety mindset, including hazard analysis and thermal considerations.
• Simplify complex problems

🎯 Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of professional experience in chemical process development
• High proficiency with bench-top synthesis methods, laboratory practices
• Basic analytical chemistry experience (NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, FTIR)
• Ability to work hands on in laboratory, fabrication, and plant environments
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
