Procurement Engineer

📋 Description

• Manage end-to-end procurement for mechanical equipment and items.
• Review drawings, specs, and requisitions to determine sourcing strategies.
• Issue RFQs to qualified suppliers and perform techno-commercial evaluations.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery, and terms to optimize procurement outcomes.
• Issue Purchase Orders and ensure compliance with specs and procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, QA, and Logistics.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and equipment knowledge.
• Experience procuring engineered equipment for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, EPC, or Process Industries.
• Ability to read GA drawings, Mechanical Fabrication Drawings, and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI, and ISO standards.
• Familiar with fabrication, welding, piping, insulation materials.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage X3.
