Procurement Engineer

📋 Description

• Source mechanical, electrical, and fluidic components for proprietary bioreactor hardware.
• Manage procurement of cell culture media, reagents, plasticware, and single-use assemblies.
• Develop supplier relationships; qualify new suppliers and manage performance.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers to achieve targets.
• Collaborate with engineering and R&D to source compliant components.
• Support transition from prototype to production by establishing scalable supply chains.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• 4–6 years in procurement/sourcing or supply chain, preferably hardware or life sciences.
• Hands-on procurement of electromechanical or fluidic hardware and life science consumables.
• ERP or purchasing systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) for PO management and inventory tracking.
• Supplier qualification and performance management processes.
• Experience in regulated industries (ISO 9001, GMP) preferred.
