Product Attorney

📋 Description

• Advise Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams on product legal issues.
• Review new products and features; provide timely, business-focused guidance.
• Counsel on IP, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory issues affecting products.
• Develop scalable policies, playbooks, and training for teams.
• Partner with commercial, privacy, security, compliance to drive alignment.
• Monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments; translate into guidance.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4-7 years of relevant SaaS product counseling experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication; defend risk analysis clearly.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Experience advising on open-source licensing, compliance, governance.
• Experience with software licensing, privacy, AI, security, regulatory issues.
• Familiarity with AI tooling (e.g., Claude) to improve workflow.
