Product Attorney

📋 Description

• Advise Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams on product legal issues across lifecycle.
• Review new products/features; provide business-focused legal guidance.
• Counsel on IP, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory matters.
• Develop scalable policies, playbooks, and training for teams.
• Partner with commercial, privacy, security, compliance, and corporate legal teams.
• Monitor evolving legal/regulatory developments and translate to guidance.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4–7 years of SaaS/legal counseling experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication to technical/business audiences.
• Able to navigate ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
• Creative thinker; able to find practical solutions.
• Experience advising OSS licensing, compliance, governance for SaaS.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to improve workflows.
