Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Partner with Product/Eng/R&D to address AI/IP/privacy/security risks.
• Advise Go-To-Market and Business Ops on positioning, licensing, regulation.
• Monitor AI/privacy/IP/competition laws for proactive compliance.
• Draft scalable processes, playbooks, and guidance for legal input.
• Assist in privacy, security and AI governance frameworks and audits.
• Provide pragmatic, independent legal advice aligned with risk appetite.

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree and in-house qualification in a relevant jurisdiction.
• 7+ years PQE, incl. 5+ SaaS product legal issues; AI exposure preferred.
• Strong AI/ML knowledge including IP, privacy, and accountability.
• Strong GDPR knowledge; biometric data processing or automated decision-making a plus.
• Comfortable translating legal risk for technical teams.
• Excellent written comms; manage priorities and work autonomously.
