Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Provide strategic legal guidance to Product, Engineering, and Marketing on issues including
• Lead and support cross-functional projects related to compliance, safety, and IP protection
• Review product integrations for compliance with contractual obligations, data protection laws
• Translate legal advice into actionable guidance for product and engineering teams under tight
• Manage the patenting program, facilitate invention harvesting sessions, and advise on IP strategy
• Build systems, policies, and processes (guides, playbooks) to address risk and ensure compliance

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience, preferably in technology companies, with relevant
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one state bar
• Experience working with internal engineering, product, design, security, privacy, and marketing
• Experience counseling business partners on domestic and international laws, regulations, and best
• Exceptional organizational skills, ability to juggle priorities and adhere to strict deadlines in a
• Demonstrated ability to advance large, complex projects
