Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Advise Product, Engineering, and other teams on legal issues throughout product lifecycles.
• Review new products/features; provide timely, business-focused legal guidance.
• Counsel on IP, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory matters.
• Develop scalable legal guidance, policies, and training for teams.
• Monitor evolving legal/regulatory developments and translate into actionable guidance.
• Full-time, remote position.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4-7 years of relevant legal experience counseling SaaS companies.
• Excellent oral and written communication; explain risk to technical, business, legal, and exec audiences.
• Operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments balancing priorities.
• Experience advising software, SaaS, cloud infra, and developer tools on OSS licensing and governance (bonus).
• Experience using AI tools (Claude) to enhance legal workflow efficiency.
