Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Advise Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams on product legal issues.
• Review new products and features; provide timely, business-focused legal guidance.
• Counsel on IP, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory issues.
• Create scalable policies, playbooks, and training to empower teams.
• Collaborate with commercial, privacy, security, compliance, and legal teams.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate into actionable guidance.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4-7 years of experience counseling SaaS companies.
• Strong communication skills - oral and written - with technical audiences.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Experience with IP, licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory matters.
• Open-source licensing, compliance, governance experience is a bonus.
