Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Advise Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams on legal issues across the product lifecycle.
• Review new products and features, giving timely, business-minded legal guidance.
• Counsel on IP, licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory matters affecting products.
• Develop scalable legal guidance, policies, playbooks, and training materials for teams.
• Partner with commercial, privacy, security, and compliance teams to drive alignment.
• Monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments and translate into guidance.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4-7 years of relevant SaaS legal experience counseling.
• Excellent oral and written communication; clearly articulate risk analyses.
• Operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while balancing priorities.
• Creative mindset with ability to find solutions where others see barriers.
• Experience using AI tools (Claude or similar) to enhance legal workflows.
