Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Provide day-to-day product counsel with Product, Eng, Privacy, and GTM.
• Review new products/features; offer business-focused legal guidance balancing risk.
• Counsel on IP, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory issues.
• Develop scalable guidance, policies, playbooks, and training.
• Partner with commercial, privacy, security, and compliance teams.
• Monitor evolving legal/regulatory developments and translate into guidance.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4-7 years of SaaS product counseling experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication to technical, business, legal, and exec audiences.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• IP, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory matters.
• OSS licensing/governance experience; AI tools bonus.
