Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Advise Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams on product-related legal issues.
• Review new products/features; provide timely, business-focused legal guidance.
• Counsel on IP, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory issues.
• Develop scalable legal guidance, policies, playbooks, and training materials.
• Partner with commercial, privacy, security, and compliance teams.
• Monitor emerging legal/regulatory developments; translate into guidance.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4-7 years of relevant legal experience counseling SaaS companies.
• Deliver high-quality legal analysis across product counseling matters.
• Excellent oral and written communication; clearly articulate risk.
• Operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments balancing priorities.
• Open-source licensing/governance experience; AI tools for workflows.
