Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Advise Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams on legal issues across the product lifecycle.
• Review new products and features; provide timely business-focused legal guidance.
• Counsel on IP, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory matters.
• Develop scalable legal guidance, policies, playbooks, and training materials.
• Partner with commercial, privacy, security, compliance, and corporate legal teams to drive alignment.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4-7 years of relevant legal experience counseling SaaS companies.
• Deliver high-quality legal analysis with attention to detail across product counseling.
• Excellent oral and written communication to technical, business, legal, and executive audiences.
• Operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while balancing priorities.
• Experience advising software, SaaS, cloud infra on open-source licensing and governance.
