Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Advise Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders on legal issues across the product lifecycle.
• Review new products and features, providing timely, business-focused legal guidance.
• Counsel on IP, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory issues.
• Develop scalable legal guidance, policies, playbooks, and training materials for teams.
• Partner with commercial, privacy, security, compliance, and corporate legal teams to drive alignment.
• Monitor emerging legal and regulatory developments and translate into actionable guidance.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4-7 years of relevant legal experience counseling SaaS companies.
• Deliver high-quality legal analysis, attention to detail, across product counseling matters.
• Excellent oral and written communication with ability to explain risk to technical and business audiences.
• Operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while balancing priorities.
• Creative mindset and ability to find solutions where others see barriers.
