Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Advise Product and Engineering on legal issues across the product lifecycle.
• Review new features and provide timely risk-balanced legal guidance.
• Counsel on IP, licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory matters.
• Develop scalable legal guidance, policies, and training for teams.
• Partner with commercial, privacy, security, compliance, and corporate legal teams.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate them to actionable guidance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active membership in at least one US state bar.
• 4-7 years of legal experience counseling SaaS companies.
• Strong written and oral communication; explain risk clearly.
• Experience advising on IP, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory issues.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Experience with OSS licensing, compliance, and governance is a bonus.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance legal workflows is a plus.
