Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Advise Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams on product legal issues.
• Review new products/features; provide timely, business-focused legal guidance.
• Counsel on IP, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory matters.
• Develop scalable legal guidance, policies, playbooks, and training materials.
• Partner with commercial, privacy, security, compliance, and corporate legal to align.
• Monitor emerging legal/regulatory developments and translate into actionable guidance.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4–7 years of legal experience counseling SaaS companies.
• Excellent oral and written communication for technical/business audiences.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
• Creative mindset and ability to find solutions where others see barriers.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to enhance legal workflows (bonus).
