Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Serve as primary legal partner to Product and Engineering across the lifecycle.
• Remote role with occasional travel to Redwood City.
• Advise on privacy-by-design, PHI data flows, HIPAA/HITECH.
• Lead privacy assessments for features, including AI-powered ones.
• Draft and maintain user terms, privacy notices, and disclosures.
• Advise on data-sharing and BAAs/DPAs; cross-functional collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar in good standing.
• 3-6 years’ experience counseling product and engineering teams on privacy and technology matters.
• HIPAA/HITECH and U.S. state privacy laws expertise.
• AI/ML, IP, consumer protection, and advertising law fluency.
• Applicants must be based in the United States.
• CIPP/US privacy certification and health-data ad-tech familiarity.
